Something we all know: we're Born To Change the World. I've been told the lyrics are a tad on the morbid side at times, but I reckon we've got to see a change in ourselves first before we can change what's outside ourselves. The degree to which we're changed is surely that same degree by which we can change others and the world we live in.
We were raised to believe the lie
See the world and you see its future
You can not change what you can not fight, what's inside
We were set from the start to fail
So it goes does the propaganda
‘Til you get tired or so sick you say, let the whole earth be saved
We were born, we were born to change the world
Open doors, walk on through them and be turned, bringing with us others to learn
Ooh, loving till we lose the chains,
It may be time, oh, time to start to soar, time for being born again
We were taught to believe the dream
Keep you under to keep from falling
Coz if you wake and the real is seen, would you leave?
But you know you're already gone
While there's truth just above the surface
You hear the sound of the world above and you try to wake up
Chorus
We can learn if we turn, we can learn
If we turn we can learn, if we turn
I saw, yeah I saw the stars
I saw, yeah I saw the stars not too far
I saw, yeah I saw the stars, and here we are
We were born, Ooh
Open doors - bringing with us others to learn
Ooh, loving till we lose the chains
It may be time, oh
Time to start to soar, time for being born
Time to start to soar, time for being born
Time to start to soar, time for being born again

Simon Adams writes alternative songs which come straight out of his life and what he holds most dear: the crossing of chasms
in relationship, acceptance, and joy forged in the fire. In listening to a song of his, you'll be taken to a place where you are helped to believe that everything might just be all right after all - that it all adds up to something good....more
